Beijing Olympic Park has a new logo. The Beijing Olympic Park Management Committee introduced the new logo on Sept 1 at a ceremony where the third-place, second-place and winning logo designs were announced.

To standardize use of the logo and protect intellectual property rights, the committee registered a copyright for the winning design at the Beijing International Copyright Trade Center.

Designers and enthusiasts across the country had participated in the logo contest.

By July 6, more than 600 designs had been submitted from throughout China.
