The National Copyright Administration recently released Decisions on Rewarding Prominent Units and Individuals in 2008 Anti-Piracy Activities.
The awards honor 173 units and 166 individuals, including the anti-piracy working group for the Beijing Olympics (unit) and Ma Yue (individual).
This is the second time since last year that the National Copyright Administration has rewarded units and individuals for their anti-piracy efforts.
The awards were established to support the strategic plan of "protecting IP and fighting against piracy" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council.
Last year, the National Copyright Administration awarded 120 units and 94 individuals with a total of 3.295 million yuan for anti-piracy work during 2006 and 2007.
