The Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council P. R. C.  recently convened a seminar on soliciting public opinions of the Amendment Draft of the Implementation Regulations of Patent Law of the People's Republic of China in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. The seminar was attended by the leaders from the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council P. R. China, the Department of Treaty and Law of the State Intellectual Property Office, and Guangdong Intellectual Property Office. More than 50 delegates from the intellectual property supervisor departments, the people's courts, the enterprises, the higher education institutions, the scientific research intuitions, and the patent agencies in Guangdong Province also participated in the seminar. 

At present, the Amendment Draft of the Implementation Regulations of Patent Law of the People's Republic of China (version for examination) has been submitted to the Legislative Affairs Office for consideration. It will be adopted after the deliberation of the State Council in the second half year of 2009.
