Itinerant Speech and Consultation on Foreign-Related IPR Protection Launched in Wuhan

 

Wuhan IP Administration recently holds the Symposium on Foreign-Related IP Strategies and Practices, unveiling the activity of Itinerant Speech and Consultation on Foreign-Related IPR Protection.

Wuhan IP Administration has invited attorneysfrom Paul Hastings, a U.S. law firm, to Wuhan to provide consultation services and give lectures. During the symposium, U.S. attorneys introduce the basic framework and status quo of IPR protection in the United States to enterprises in Wuhan, and analyze the problems and deficiencies in the strategy of international IPR protection in Wuhan enterprises on the basis of the 337 investigation cases in recent years.

Liu Hong, Deputy Director of Wuhan IP Administration points out that the United States is China's largest trade partner. As U.S. litigations of IP against Chinese enterprises happened  frequently, activities of this kind can help enterprises know better about the IP judicial system and IPR protection in the United States so as to win positive positions in market competitions.

U.S. experts also visit units such as Dongfeng Motor Corp., Wuhan Research Institute of Post & Telecommunication, Kingdream Public Limited Company and Huazhong University of Science and Technology and conducted in-depth exchanges regarding the latest information of the U.S. IPR protection and litigation responding  strategy.
