Sichuan IP Administration and related departments of Chengdu City recently conduct a law-enforcement action at the 60th PHARMCHINA (a national exhibition of Chinese pharmaceutical industry) and inspect more than 1,000 types of medicines, achieving relatively good results.
Aiming at maintaining the market order of fair competition, severely cracking down on various law-breaking activities such as patent counterfeit and imitation, accepting complaints of IP disputes and protecting the legal rights and interests of IPR holders, the action is jointly held by Sichuan IP Administration, Chengdu IP Administration, Sichuan Administration for Industry and Commerce and Sichuan Bureau of Public Security with more than 1,000 types of medicines being inspected, including nearly 100 types with patent marks. For the more than 20 types of medicines and advertisements with nonstandard patent marks, law enforcers introduce IP information to relative factories and companies and instruct them to take rectification measures, playing positive roles in information publicity.
