Recently, Yongzhou IP Administration of Hunan Province and Yongzhou Finance Bureau jointly issue the Measures of Yongzhou City on the Administration of the Pilot Project of Corporate Patent Work (hereafter referred to as the Measures), starting the pilot project of corporate patent in the city.

According to the Measures, the pilot project will be launched in some enterprises with higher level of technological innovation and patent work so as to implement the Compendium on China National IP Strategy, improve enterprises' capacities and levels of participating in market competitiveness by using patent system, promote technological innovation in enterprises and boost economic development in Yongzhou.

The Measures notes that the enterprises listed for the patent pilot project will gain special financial supports in personnel training, systematic construction, patent application and patent database construction, and have the priority of being recommended to apply for the demonstration enterprises of pilot projects of the national and provincial levels and the fostering program of IP advanced enterprises. Patent projects with high technology contents and promising market prospects of these enterprises have the priority of being helped by the patent initiation fund of the city. IP administrations of the municipality and county levels will also actively recommend these enterprises to related governmental departments for planned programs of the national, provincial and municipal levels.

Since 2009, Yongzhou City will initiate a batch of enterprises for the 2-year pilot project every year.
