Targeting the commodities with counterfeit and imitative patents on the market, Jiyuan IP Administration of Henan Province recently organizes people of related units to launch a joint inspection in various large department stores and supermarkets throughout the city.

Law enforcers carefully record the patent numbers of the patented commodities inspected and identify the authenticity of the patents through patent retrieval system. A total of 30 commodities with patent numbers are selected and two numbers are found not to match corresponding patents. Law enforcers immediately order related people to remove these commodities out of the shelves to prevent them from being sold on the market.

The inspection prevents the commodities with counterfeit and imitative patents from entering the commodity circulation sector, effectively protecting the legal rights and interests of patentees and consumers, enhancing people's awareness of identifying patented commodities and purifying the market orders of patented commodities.
