Recently, Yiwu City of Zhejiang Province holds the press conference on the pilot project of the "three-in-one" mode of trying IP cases. Xu Jie, Vice President of Zhejiang Provincial Higher People's Court, Zhou Gencai, Presiding Judge of the Third Civil Tribunal of the court and He Meihua, Mayor of Yiwu attend the press conference. According to the conference, Yiwu Municipal People's Court ranks top of all grassroots people's courts of the province in terms of the number of accepting and concluding IP criminal and civil cases.
Mr. Xu speaks highly of the achievements made by Yiwu Municipal People's Court in the pilot project of "three-in-one" mode of trying IP cases. He notes that Zhejiang Provincial Higher People's Court will, according to the requirements of the Compendium on China National IP Strategy, strengthen its organization, lead, coordination and supervision on the work on the basis of the pilot project of Yiwu Municipal People's Court so as to be timely aware of the progress of the pilot project, study and resolve the problems emerged in the pilot project, properly promote the pilot project of "three-in-one" mode and ensure the substantial results of the work.
In June 2007, Yiwu Municipal People's Court is authorized to try part of IP civil cases and establishes a special IP tribunal to hear IP civil, administrative and criminal cases. In July that year, the court takes the lead in launching the pilot project of "three-in-one" mode of trying IP cases in Zhejiang Province according to the deployment of Zhejiang Provincial Higher People's Court, and constructs the unified, comprehensive and multi-layer IPR judicial protection mechanism, playing the positive roles of saving trial resources, standardizing judicial yardsticks and improving the level of IPR protection. From June 2007 to October this year, Yiwu Municipal People's Court totally accepts 45 IP criminal cases of various kinds with 44 concluded, and 61 IP civil cases of various kinds with 47 concluded, ranking the top of all grassroots courts of the province in terms of number of accepting and concluding IP criminal and civil cases.
