Recently, Lianyungang City launches a special action against illegal patent agencies. The action plays an important role in further standardizing the market of patent agency and improving the quality of patent agency.

The special action will last until December 31, and will be carried out in three stages of condition checkup, comprehensive rectification and consolidation for improvement, putting focus on cracking down on the illegal practices of those "patent agencies" without Registration Certificate of Patent Agency and Practicing Certificate of Patent Agent that operate without authorization, activities of illegally operating patent intermediate business beyond approved business scope, and practices of illegally publicizing misleading advertises of patent agency and patent application services, which are not included in the approved business scope.
