A national foreign-assistance training project, the one-month International Workshop on IPR System and Protection holds its conclusion ceremony in Qingdao of east China's Shandong Province on October 21. Zhang Hui, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Qingdao Mayor attends the ceremony and delivers a speech, highly appraising the success of the workshop.

The workshop maintains strong supports from Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), SIPO and Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Renowned experts and scholars of SIPO and MOST specially come to Qingdao to give lectures for the workshop and systematically explain IP-related laws and regulations such as China's Patent Law and Copyright Law and the Compendium on China National IP Strategy, enabling trainees to have a comprehensive understanding on China's IP system.

Related departments of Qingdao also regard the workshop as an important resource for international exchange and cooperation. Organized by related units such as Qingdao IP Administration and Qingdao Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, governmental officials in various countries for the workshop launch extensive economic and trade negotiations with some key export-oriented enterprises in Qingdao and visited some renowned enterprises such as Haier, HiSense and Goldking Group during the workshop, achieving satisfying results. The success of the workshop plays a positive role in enhancing Qingdao's international influence, improving the international popularity of city's enterprises and expanding the channels of international cooperation.
