On October 16-17, Pedro Osona, Director of China Program of European Patent Office (EPO), paid a two-day visit to Shaanxi Province.

During his stay in Shaanxi, he had a meeting with Yang Xingyun, Deputy Director of Shaanxi IP Administration. Osona introduced the organizational structure and operation of EPO and the process of applying for and protecting patents at EPO and various European Union states, stressing on EPO's services, consultations and supports to patent right holders. Yang briefed on IP work of Shaanxi Province in recent years and enterprises' detailed measures in IP system application.

The two parties exchanged views on the cooperation intent of launching multi-level IP training and talked about the issue of strengthening cooperation among enterprises.
