In order to further implement the demands from the central, provincial and municipal governments of strengthening IP protection in drug circulation sector and standardizing the management of patented products operation in Linyi, the city's IP Administration and Food and Drug Administration will jointly launch a special action from September 1 to October 31, investigating and dealing with patent imitations and forgings in drug and medical apparatus and instruments circulation sector in the whole city in a centralized manner.

The action will inspect various drug supermarkets, chemist's shops and drugstores in the city, focusing on patent imitations and forgings and standardization of patent labels. Related departments will severely punish those who imitate and forge other people's patents according to different circumstances. The action will also open an informants' hot-line of 0539—8116426 and email of linyi@lyipo.cn.

Through the law-enforcement action, Linyi IP Administration and Food and Drug Administration hope to further increase enterprises' awareness of IP protection, restrain patent imitations and forgings and prevent patent-infringed drugs and medical apparatus and instruments from entering circulation sector, creating a sound atmosphere of IP creation and protection in the whole city.
