RMB 100 Million Loans Granted to IPR Pledges in Beijing

As informed at the promotion for the IPR pledge loan on June 8, a product co-created by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology and the Bank of Communications, Beijnng Branch, ZhanYeTong (Chinese name for the product, means business facilitator) had yielded IPR pledge loans in excess of RMB100 million after seven months' operation.

A principal from the Commission said, in an effort to ease SMEs' difficulty in financing, the Commission in cooperation with the Bank and Beijing Jingwei Law Firm launched this financial product in October 2006.

At the promotion, the two chief sponsors also renewed their agreement on granting loans to tech-oriented SMEs.  The principal said his commission would appropriate a special fund to sponsor those brokers with great contributions to the promotion of the IPR pledge loans.  Having obtained an IPR pledge loan would be a big plus for an SME vying for Beijing's innovation fund to offset its loan interests.
