Jiangsu and Taizhou Join Hands in Patent Administrative Enforcement

A few days ago, the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province and the Taizhou Municipal Intellectual Property Office jointly organized patent administrative law enforcement training and carried out joint law enforcement activities at provincial, municipal and county levels. This was an event for the National IP Publicity Week 2020. Over 40 law enforcement personnel working at the primary level participated in the training and joint law enforcement operations.

The training had a session for all trainees first, then they were split into groups for on-site goods inspection with trainers' guidance. An official from the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province explained the new trend of intellectual property protection, the detailed investigation and identification process of counterfeit patent cases, the identification of irregularities in patent labeling, among others. During the on-site inspection, the official also presented how to handle cases and related precautions. This inspection found more than 10 cases of suspected irregular patent labeling. Law enforcement personnel have carried out inspection and registration in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and will further process the cases accordingly.

This training has effectively improved the handling ability and level of Taizhou's primary-level law enforcement personnel via both theoretical learning and on-site teaching. Next, the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province will continue to carry out patent administrative law enforcement guidance and joint law enforcement actions at the primary level in municipalities and counties, further strengthen law enforcement, improve law enforcement efficiency and create a good atmosphere for intellectual property protection. (Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
