Nearing the 20th World IP Day, Wuhan IP Work Leading Group Office published the Notice on Organizing and launching the "IP Publicity Week 2020" Events in Wuhan to arrange relevant activities across the the city.
The Notice requires making use of the Internet and new media to widely organize targeted, de-massified and interactive publicity activities based on the actual situation of epidemic prevention and control and a scientific plan. While guaranteeing precise epidemic prevention and control and protecting the health and safety of the masses, active efforts should be made to facilitate IP cultural construction featuring respecting knowledge, encouraging innovation and fostering honesty and accelerate building a city strong on IP.
The Publicity Week events will last from April 20 to 26, with the theme of "Intellectual Property and Healthy China". Main events include: IP-related policies and measures to support fight against the epidemic, assist scientific research on epidemic prevention and control and promote innovative development in health undertaking; practices of how the high-quality development of IP strongly supports protecting and encouraging innovation, optimizes business environment and expands opening-up; the progress in how the resource advantages of IP in talents, intelligence and information allows agriculture, rural areas and farmers to benefit from trademarks, geographical indications, patents, copyright and new varieties of plants, and thus promotes the development of featured industries and facilitates economic and social development of Wuhan; promote the construction of IP protection system and accelerate building a protection pattern featuring "strict, extensive, rapid and equal".(Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
