A patent agency in the Wuhan Development Zone recently received the first electronic invention patent certificate issued by the National Intellectual Property Administration. It has the same legal power as paper certificates and can help modernize database management. According to the authority, electronic patent applications whose authorization proclamation date is no earlier than March 3 will get electronic certificates.
