China's copyright registrations exceeded 4.18 million in 2019. This is a 21.09 percent rise from 2018, according to a report released by the National Copyright Administration in late March. Registrations of works numbered more than 2.7 million, a year-on-year increase of 14.86 percent. The biggest proportion was from fine arts. Last year also saw more than 1.48 million software copyright registrations, a year-on-year growth of 34.36 percent.
