The Anhui provincial intellectual property office has been encouraging patent applicants and agencies to handle business online or by post to avoid gatherings since the novel coronavirus outbreak. Official figures show that more than 8,000 patent-related jobs were completed online in February. The office has mapped out a detailed working guide on how to file a patent online, pay patent maintenance fees and register a patent as collateral, among other issues.
