Government data show that financial institutions in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, granted 98 patent-collateralized loans worth 712 million yuan ($103.47 million) in 2018. It marks the fifth straight year that such loans have surpassed 700 million yuan. The deals, more than 80 percent of which involved Wuhan Rural Commercial Bank, benefited nearly 50 companies.
