Shanghai: IP Standards to Take Effect in Autumn

In cooperation with local research centers and an industry trade association, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration has rolled out a new set of standards. They provide guidance on assessments of patented technologies, infringement risk control and innovation inspiration. The new standards are scheduled to take effect on Oct 1.They are designed to improve the quality and effect of IP assessment and also address common issues facing market entities and service providers. The rollout is part of the city's efforts to advance the country's IP strategy, local officials said.
