Eight new technological alliances were given the green light to be founded in Chongqing, lifting the number of such groups in the area's high-tech industry to 18. The alliances cover power, technology transfer, big data, industrial internet, green manufacturing, intelligent energy, virtual reality and electronics. They are expected to help address technological difficulties in their respective industry, formulate industrial standards and promote commercialization of new technologies, local officials said.
