Incubators helped nurture about 620,000 startup companies and teams by the end of 2018, according to the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center. Their report was released at a forum in Hangzhou last week. As of 2018, China was home to 11,808 incubators. They helped generate job opportunities for 3.95 million people, the report said. It also found that incubator-fostered startup enterprises in China own about 106,000 invention patents.
