A trademark office dedicated to overseas intellectual property protection was unveiled in Shanghai last week. The facility, which is the first of its kind in the country, will offer guidance on overseas trademark registration and related legal services, as well as holding training sessions, officials said. The number of registered trademarks in Shanghai surpassed 1 million as of June this year, according to government data.
