A national intangible cultural heritage expo which opened in Ji'nan, capital of Shandong province on Sept 13, showcased an array of traditional craftsmanship items. The five-day event featured sections of silk, embroidery and dyeing; ceramics and metallurgy; tea and alcohol making; printing, carving and painting; furniture and stationery; traditional Chinese medicine and sculpture. A series of events designed for local communities, schools, scenic sites and shopping malls enabled Ji'nan residents to have the opportunity to experience the heritage.
