The first 13 pilot regions for IP civilian and military integration were determined recently by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and a department at the Central Military Commission. The regions include Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong, Hunan and Guangdong provinces. They will carry out work on eight aspects such as gradually lifting control over the agency sector targeting national defense patents. The CNIPA and the department will set up an assessment and evaluation mechanism during a three-year pilot period to supervise the work.
