The Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region recently announced that it will establish 20 startup and innovation centers featuring influential and reputable business brands during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20). To date, the governments of the cities of Nanning, Chongzuo and Qinzhou have rolled out their implementation plans, while Liuzhou and Guilin still have theirs in the pipeline. Nanning's plan focuses on information technology, healthcare and smart manufacturing, Chongzuo's will make full use of its close ties with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations members and Qinzhou's operation will feature ceramics businesses.
