Guizhou: White Paper Shows Protection Results

The province recently released its 2017 intellectual property protection and development white paper, showing its administrative agencies for law enforcement concluded 6,824 cases last year. Police in Guizhou investigated nearly 400 IP infringement cases and settled more than 250 while local courts heard 374 IP cases and concluded 344. The province saw 34,607 patent applications filed in 2017, a year-on-year rise of 36.71 percent, and a further 48 geographical indication protection products registered.
