Recently, together with Nanning Intellectual Property Office, Hengxian Intellectual Property Office, Bureau of Industrial and Commercial Administration and Quality and Technology of Hengxian County and Hengxian Food and Drug Administration, Guangxi Intellectual Property Office conducted a special joint law enforcement action under the name of “Operation Thunder”, and stepped up efforts to crack down on infringement and counterfeiting acts in rural markets and the sector of e-commerce. 

The law enforcement group checked markets of food and drug, agricultural material products and e-commerce of Hengxian County and examined 260 patent commodities, 21 of which were suspected of counterfeiting patents. Law-enforcement personnel popularized onsite IP-related knowledge and the way of IPR protection to merchants. In addition, by way of “actual examination instead of training”, law-enforcement personnel of Guangxi Intellectual Property Office and Nanning Intellectual Property Office guided onsite law-enforcement personnel of intellectual property offices of counties and districts to conduct work of law examination including registration of examination, investigation and evidence collection as well as verification, in which way promoted the capability of patent law enforcement of counties (districts).
