During the Guangdong Intellectual Property Trade Expo running on Aug 31 and Sept 1 in Guangzhou, capital of the province, deals worth 720 million yuan ($110 million) were signed, involving more than 1,300 patents. Another 15 patent packages were auctioned for more than 31 million yuan during the two-day event, including six-week services provided by three patent attorneys, which were sold for 306,000 yuan. The IP event was organized by the Guangdong IP Office and the Guangzhou government.
