NIPPON SHOKUBAI Files Lawsuit Against Liaoning Kelong Company

NIPPON SHOKUBAI Company filed a lawsuit at Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court against Liaoning Kelong Fine Chemical Company and another Chinese corporation, seeking for injunctions and damages of over 40 million Yuan for infringement of NIPPON SHOKUBAI's Chinese patent, ZL01138461.1, which relates to the application of polymers for concrete admixture used in construction industry. NIPPON SHOKUBAI has been engaged in the research and development activities aiming to achieve improved performance, quality and productivity of polymers for concrete admixture known as AQUALOC. The company recognizes the IPRs generated and obtained through such long-term and continuous activities as one of the most important and valuable managerial resources.

Liaoning Kelong Fine Chemical Company is a domestic company engages in fine chemicals production. The Polycarboxylic Acid Type Water-reducer for high performance concrete has been awarded the second prize for the National Innovation Award for Building Material Industry.
