Significant results were obtained in promoting use of authorized software in government agencies and companies, sources from the third meeting of the Joint Office of Ministerial Meetings for Promoting Software Protection. After the central governmental agencies and provincial-level government departments successfully concluded the remediation campaign for using of authorized software in May 2011 and June 2012 respectively, the city-level and county-level government departments also fulfilled the task at the end of 2013.

In a bid to promote use of authorized software in government agencies, the General Office of State Council issued a notice on Issuing the Administrative Measure for the use of Genuine Software by Government Organs in August 2013. At the end of 2013, 79.7% of central and state organs has facilitated their affiliated institutions to use licensed software.

At the end of December 2013, 29,729 companies fared well in running authorized software on their computers, 20,848 of which went legitimate in software use. State-owned companies and subsidiaries, large and medium-sized financial institutions, enterprise group headquarters of publication and distribution industry cleared for compliance, the publication and distribution, tourist hotel, internet bar, achieve notable results in licensed software application.
