On June 27, the China Intellectual Property Index 2011 was released in Beijing. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Tianjin, Fujian, Liaoning and Hunan are the top 10 cities/provinces.
The report assesses IP development of provinces, cities and autonomous regions in the mainland of China. It applies 4 first class indicators, 16 second class ones, 54 third class ones and 99 forth class ones, and introduces an overall strength indicator as well as patent and trademark statistics. The report was prepared by a special task group in cooperation with established experts in IP, law and economy from both home and aboard.
