According to a conference on advancing use of legitimate software jointly held by the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), Government Offices Administration of the State Council, Governments of Departments under the Central Committee, Central state organs and local governments at different levels have spent 377.14 million yuan in purchasing 381,807 sets of authorized software in total. Statistics shows that 135 state organs have accomplished supervision and review of the relevant task and local governments have also finished research on coverage of legitimate software and began the procurement process of authorized software as of the end of May. The work is expected to complete before the end of October.

As of now, cities such as Qingdao, Jinan, Karamay, Huainan, Chengdu, Suzhou and Shanghai have taken the lead in accomplishing examining and reviewing the campaign. Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning, Anhui, Henan, Guangdong, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and other provinces and regions have partly accomplished the purchasing goal. The campaign in the provincial governments and capitals are advancing with steady steps.
