China's Customs Honored for IPR Protection

China's General Administration of Customs (GAC) received an award from the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group (GACG) in Paris for its achievements, openness and transparency in protecting IPR on June 8. GAC was the only government organization in the world won the prize.

According to GACG, from last October to the end of May this year, customs authorities in China seized 58 million goods in 9227 batches of cargo that violated IPR laws and regulations. The palpable results in IPR enforcement achieved is one of the important factors that GAC garnered the award.
