The China's courts at all levels concluded 41,718 IPR civil cases in 2010, up 36.74%, which exert the leading role of judicial in IPR protection, according to a latest report released by Supreme People's Court (SPC).
In 2010, SPC stepped up judicial supervision by issuing 20 judicial interpretations and 58 guiding opinions. In a bid to ensure the central government's strategy deployment plan and implementation of a series of measures, SPC formulated several opinions on providing judicial safeguard and services to accelerate economic development transformation, beef up the prospective and consciousness of trails to facilitate economic development. In parallel, SPC also devised several opinions on Shanghai Expo, Guangzhou Asia Games and Asia Para Games, and those relevant courts gave a full play of legal supervision to provide strong judicial safeguard for the above events.
