World Biggest Dam Most Patent-prolific as well

After the water level of the Three Gorges project, the world's largest water control project, rose to 175 meters, a comprehensive evaluation report on the project was issued by the Chinese Academy of engineering as well. According to the report, the project boasts several of self-reliant IPRs, and filed more than 700 Chinese patent applications, more than any other single body project in the Chinese engineering history.


Due to its size and complexity of technologies involved, Chinese scientists and engineers made concerted efforts to work on project design, construction and ecological protection, and created some 100 records in the world during more than 10 years' of construction.
