Zhejiang Boke Electric Appliance Company filed a suit against the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB) under the State Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC), and sought rejection of registration of No.37563 三洋飞鹿 and its figures. Beijing No.1 Intermediate Court heard the case recently.

In court debate, Boke says Sanyo Electric Company's trademark on refrigerator was registered on November 15, 2002, while the trademark in question was registered on August 21, 2001. Meanwhile, the trademark of Sanyo has never been used on refrigerator and freezer since it filed a registration application on May 31, 2000.

Sanyo alleges that it entered the Chinese makert in the 1980s, and it aslo exhibited the original copy of the registration certificate of No.164572 trademark which was obtained in 1982.
