The International Engineering Consortium announced on May 12 in Norway, Haier's proposals of four refrigerator technologies in safety, energy-saving and environment protection were approved and would constitute as international standards, the first time an international organization recognizing proposals on refrigerator technology from China.
As of now, Haier has participated in the formulation of 19 international standards, 3 of which including wall-call technology have been recognized as international standards and in force.  Haier dwarfs all Chinese appliance makers in frequency of participation of international standards, national standards and industry standards.  At home, Haier presided or participated formulation and revision of 192 national standards and 439 industry or other standards.
