On April 20, Supreme People's Court formally initiates the Annual Theme Activity of the Courts Nationwide on IP Case Trial and the Optimization of the Judicial Environment of Independent Innovation.

The activity includes the following eight aspects:

Giving full play to the function of IP case trial to weaken and eliminate the negative influences of the international financial crisis to China's economy and society;

Deepening the implementation of the National IP Strategy and giving full play to the guiding roles of judicial IPR protection;

Earnestly trying patent-related cases to promote sci-tech innovation;

Doing a good job in trying trademark-related cases to promote brand economic development;

Working hard to try cases of monopolization and unfair competition to create the market orders conducive to fair competition;

Strengthening supervision and work guidance on trials to pragmatically unify the norms of law application;

Reforming and improving the system and working mechanism of IP trial to provide systematic supports for optimizing the judicial environment of independent innovation;

Strengthening the team construction of IP trial to assure the talent supply in optimizing the judicial environment of independent innovation.
