The technological group under the Shanghai Expo said, Shanghai have filed over 1,000 patent applications or requests for software registration for the inventions created during the Expo preparatory phase.  The inventions of the Expo are expected to be protected by IPRs. 

According to a principal from the Shanghai IP Administration, many inventions are already employed on planning and construction of facilities, energy application and demonstration and eco-environment construction with palpable effectiveness.
