The Legislative Affairs Office under the State Council has announced the recommended amendment of the Implementing Regulations of the Patent Law and its explainatory notes to the public for opinions, which shall be submitted before March 31, 2009.

SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu, on February 27, signed off this recommended version for review by the State Council. The revision covers nine aspects of contents in titles, patent application documents, patent filing and examination procedure, patent evaluation report, invalidation procedure, streamlining of fee schedule and procedure, improvement of compulsory licensing system, use of patent right, compensation of inventor or designer, protection of patent right, international applications entering into national phase.
