The 104th Canton Fair concluded on November 6 in Guangzhou. Products with self-reliant IPRs fared better than the rest. Export/import associations also took the charge of IPR protection for the first time and result was satisfactory.
According to Mu Xinhai, vice secretary general and spokesman for the Canton Fair, as of November 5, 174,562 overseas buyers attended the fair, and the total trade volume was $31.55 billion. High tech and high value-added products had better performance. The turnover of well-known brands reached $8.86 billion, accounting for 28.1% of the total, indicating strong brand and patent effect.
