The Assessment Conference and Symposium on the General Report of the Research on Dovetailing Local and National IP Strategies is held recently in Changsha. Experts of the assessment board carefully listen to the report delivered by the head of the research topic and unanimously agree to conclude the topic. Hence, on the basis of concluding three sub-topics, the topic of Research on Dovetailing Local and National IP Strategy is formally concluded.

According to the related person in charge from SIPO Protection and Coordination Department, the goal of the research topic is mainly to implement the national IP strategy, guide the formulation and implementation of local IP strategies and promote the coordination and dovetailing of local and national IP strategies so as to organically integrate local and national IP strategies for the national economic and social development. At the conference, experts of assessment board carefully listen to the report delivered by the person in charge of the research topic and give a pertinent remark to the report. All the participating experts unanimously agree to conclude the research topic and put forward some constructive opinions.

The conclusion of the Research on Dovetailing Local and National IP Strategies is of great significance to strengthening the integration of local and national IP strategies and promoting the implementation of the national IP strategy in localities. An approximately of 30 people including heads of IP administrations in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Hunan and Yunnan and related experts participate in the conference.

Research on Dovetailing Local and National IP Strategies is a basic research project for application formally launched by former SIPO Office of National IP Strategy Formulation in October 2007. Its sub-topics of example-based researches of IP strategies in eastern, central and western regions are undertaken by IP administrations of Jiangsu, Hunan and Yunnan provinces respectively.
