(Xinhua news agency) The seventh Consultation Between ASEAN Economic Ministers and Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China is held in Singapore on August 27. According to a joint statement issued after the consultation, ministers are happy to see the progress made in final stage of the negotiation on China-ASEAN IP-related memo of understanding, and they hope to see the memo signed during the China-ASEAN Summit Meeting this year.
The Consultation is co-chaired by Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Chen Jian and Singaporean Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang. According to a joint statement issued after the consultation, ministers express their welcome to the substantial progress made in the negotiation of China-ASEAN Investment Agreement, and stress on the importance of completing the negotiation before the 12 China-ASEAN Summit Meeting in December this year.
