Chinese Vice Premier: Creating a Sound Development Environment for Taiwan Businessmen Through IPR Protection

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, points out while talking to representatives from industry and commerce circles of Taiwan in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on August 28 that measures should be taken to further protect the legal investment rights and interests of the Taiwan compatriots and protect IPRs, so as to create a sound environment for Taiwan businessmen to develop in Chinese mainland.

After listening to speeches given by representatives of Taiwan businessmen, Mr. Wang says that the businessmen speak without reservation and have put forward many pertinent and well-directed opinions and suggestions. He requires related departments of the State Council to launch careful researches and properly deal with the problems and difficulties facing Taiwan businessmen in their investment and operation in the Chinese mainland.

Mr. Wang states that we attach great importance to the problems put forward by the representatives of Taiwan businessmen and have taken, and will continue to take measures to better safeguard the legal investment-related rights and interests of Taiwan compatriots by protecting IPRs and creating a sound environment for Taiwan businessmen to develop in the Chinese mainland.

Wang Yi, Director of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council presides over the forum. Heads of 22 departments of the State Council, and more than 60 renowned personnel from Taiwan industry and commerce circles and representatives of Taiwan businessmen in the Chinese mainland attend the forum.
