(The People’s Daily) The National Conference for the Head of Provincial Department of Justice is held recently in Beijing. According to Ministry of Justice, great efforts should be made to publicize and educate people on laws and regulations closely related to Olympic Games such as the Regulations on the Protection of Olympic Symbols, and guide lawyers to supply high-quality legal services for Olympic IPR protection.

Ministry of Justice requires that the work of publicizing laws and regulations closely related to Olympic Games such as Law on Administrative Penalties for Public Security and the Regulations on the Protection of Olympic Symbols should be strengthen to guide lawyers to supply high-quality legal services for Olympic market development, television broadcasting, IPR protection and sport events with their professional advantages. The roles of judicial administrative function should be brought into full play to energetically strengthening coordination work among the people. Related departments should investigate various contradictions in Olympic period, especially those hot and difficult problems, to resolve a batch of prominent contradictions and disputes that may influence Olympic Games and social harmony and stability.

Ministry of Justice requires judicial and administrative authorities of various levels to continue implementing the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council of preparing Olympic Games and maintaining social stability. Their roles of legal safeguard, legal service and legal publicity should be brought into full play to maintain the social stability.
