Sources from the Copyright Protection Center of China (CPCC) show that the center will publicize corresponding detailed measures in software registration, copyright registration, copyright agency and other businesses to supply special services for right holders in earthquake-hit regions.

According to CPCC, its registration department will supply prompt registration services for various literatures lauding the moving deeds of earthquake relief work written during the earthquake relief period. Under the circumstance, the center promises to issue the certificate on the day of application; it will also guide the applicants for software and other copyright registration from disaster regions throughout the whole process and reduce and exempt their related registration fees for their literatures.

Meanwhile, CPCC will also provide special services to right holders in disaster regions, giving them precedence in software registration handling and examination for those who apply on the spot; in cast that the applicant fail to bring all the documents and materials, CPCC will begin go through the procedures before the applicant makes up the documents and materials; for those who apply to register their software through postal mailings, the center will handle the applications even the application materials are not complete or the applicants fail to pay registration fees; it also will also set up the “green channels” of software copyright registration for the applications that are in the handling process; in addition, the center will also issue the certificate 15 working days ahead of the original schedules.

CPCC also requires its business departments of copyright agency to pay more attentions to the excellent literatures with themes on disaster relief work in the near future and actively promote related copyright trade to enable the rapid spread of the moving deeds during the disaster relief work and their great spirits, so as make the deeds the spiritual resources of the work of defeating the disaster.
