At the press conference reviewing IPR protection in Beijing on May 8, Liu Zhengang, Director General of the Beijing Intellectual Property Office announced the municipality will formulate a contingency or rapid response plan for Olympic IPR protection and step up actions against infringements during the Olympics.
The municipality is establishing a contingency plan for Olympic IPR protection and working group to execute it will be formed to make rapid response to IPR incidents occurred during the Olympics in addition to routine jobs in coordinating protection of Olympic IPRs and rehearsing for possible incidents. Relevant authorities will coordinate their resource to rapidly respond to incidents, support the Olympics and prepare for possible sensitive IPR issues. The general public may call 12312 or 12315 to report IPR infringements.
