On May 7 to 12, Cheng Jinpei, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Vice Chairman of NPC’s Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee, leads an inspection term to Guangdong Province to investigate and research the legislation work of the Patent Law (Revised). SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu participates in the investigation.

On the morning of May 8, the inspection team holds a forum, at which, Tao Kaiyuan, Director of Guangdong Provincial IP Administration delivers the Report on the IP Administrative Protection and Opinions and Suggestions on Patent Law Modification. Meanwhile, representatives from Guangdong Provincial Congress, Guangdong Higher People’s Court, some enterprises, research institutes, colleges and universities and patent agencies also put forward relative suggestions to Patent Law modification.
