The China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI) held its 20th anniversary celebration ceremony in Beijing on 7th November, 2007. Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi sent a congratulatory letter for the ceremony, and Mr. Shi Guangsheng, the member of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress (NPC), deputy director of the NPC Financial and Economic Committee and Chairman of the CAEFI, addressed at the ceremony. Some other officials, including Mr. Zhang Qin, Deputy Commissioner of the SIPO, also attended the meeting.

In her letter, Wu Yi extended warm congratulation to the 20th anniversary celebration of CAEFI on behalf of the State Council. She wished CAEFI to follow the principle of the 17th CPC National Congress, implement the scientific outlook of development, broaden its service and create new ways of service, so as to contribute to China's opening up and economic development.

Mr. Shi said that the CAEFI would adapt itself to the new situation and under the principle of reform and innovation, take providing high level service to its members as its own duty, and try to make CAEFI to be a home of members.

It is known that the CAEFI was setup on 7th November, 1987 in Beijing. Now there are 2,000 members directly under the CAEFI and 43 local similar associations as its members. Most of the enterprises with investment from world top 500 enterprises are its members.
